Drive It Home CIC

scedu-drive-it-home-logoDrive It Home is a new social enterprise dedicated to saving the lives of young people by raising awareness of the potential dangers of driving and being involved in a road traffic accident, whether by being a driver, a passenger or a pedestrian.

The enterprise delivers Driver Awareness Workshops that provide factual and statistical information around many of the issues concerning road traffic accidents. The facts are backed up by hard hitting videos showing (realistic) reconstructions of true-life road traffic accidents. Testimonials are delivered from guest speakers, speaking from their hearts about their real-life experiences.

The company’s mission is to use education and simulation technology to “drive the message home” and minimise the risk to all who use Britain’s roads.

scedu-drive-it-homeKey target groups:

  • 17 to 24 year olds as these are statistically more likely to be involved in road accidents than any other group
  • Fleet drivers because driving is their livelihood
  • Motorcycle riders
  • 50+ age group
  • Football and rugby league clubs

The directors have a combined total of more than 20 years’ experience in safer driving and road safety issues on a national basis.

Andrew Cain, the Managing Director, has worked with a number of road safety agencies. Andrew worked on a four year project for clients including South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Camera Partnership and South Yorkshire Fire Service funded by the Department for Transport. Andrew was guest speaker at the Chief Fire Officers’ event in Scotland, worked with the South Yorkshire Fire Service on Road Traffic Collisions and still does a considerable amount of voluntary work for the Devon and Cornwall Fire Service.

scedu-drive-it-home2Statistics confirm that one fatal accident on the roads costs £1.9million. Drive It Home is very passionate about trying to influence the behaviour of road users and make a significant positive difference!
